Let the Festivities Begin!
Now that we have everything from last week cleared up, I think we're up to speed.
We had the seminary wind-up bbq at Rundle Park on Saturday - it is a pretty nice place, for a park built on top of a garbage dump! We enjoyed some sunny but breezy weather (I miss you, Southern Alberta!), some sufficiently charred burgers, hot dogs and roasted pig (don't get me started...) and, of course, s'mores. mmmmm...they're definitely better roasted over an open fire than they are when they're scorched in the toaster oven with a fondue fork! Actually, I'm not picky.
After the 'official' festivities were over, we went chez Schultz for a gigantic round of 'things.' Any of you who have played things before knows how fun and inappropriate it can be...this round was certainly more tame than some, but fun nevertheless.
In other news...the sem placement service is this Friday. Both sets of parents are heading up, and there is sure to be a crowd there holding us up as we await the news. I know what you're thinking, and don't worry - I have the outfit under control. At the bbq on Saturday, all the wives were discussing what we would be wearing. I think the logic behind that is that even if we get placed in Elbow, SK (trust me, it's a real place) at least we'll look good when we get the news.
Only 3 more sleeps...
