Just an Update
Things are certainly rolling along here...we're keeping busy with church stuff and haven't had much time to do more exploring in the area.
We're heading up to Niagara Falls the week after next for a Pastors' and Deacons' Conference, which should be good fun. We're going to squeeze in an overnight visit with Murray's friend Dan in Toronto, which will leave us with a quick drive to Niagara on the Monday. I hear they have a good candy store there (note the new link to "my favourite place in the whole world.")
In other news, I have learned how to make cabbage rolls! I've been helping the ladies do some cooking for the Christmas Bazaar, and one of the things we're making is cabbage rolls. Of course, they're made in huge batches-about 42 pounds of meat at a time- and I've been assured that they're the best anywhere (unlike the rolls sold by other churches at their bazaars which have no flavour and are mostly rice...)
My hands smell like garlic, onions, paprika, and raw meat. The church smells like cabbage, which is not the most welcome smell as we walk out our door each morning, but we'll be done making them in a few weeks.
Until then, I'm thankful for Pier 1 smelly candles and Aveda smelly hand cream!

Our next cabbage roll making session is at the end of next week - I will certainly have to try those things...
Thanks!
How are things in Edmonton?
