Not Much to Say...
Wow. How sad that you have been subjected to reading about my hep new fanny pack for so long. The problem is that I don't really have much else to tell you all about.
Murr is on a 'parish immersion' trip to the lower Mainland right now, so the house is pretty empty. Dixie the cat was quite upset about the whole ordeal - she likes him more than she likes me. I'll get over it. Only 6 days till he comes back!
We got some pictures of the apartment where we will be living in Windsor. It looks nice and big, with some pretty recent renovations (and air conditioning! hooray!) Now we just have to figure out what we will be taking with us, and what can be packed away for a year. I'm still holding out for bringing my KitchenAid mixer - I don't care what anyone says...it makes everything taste better.
We got to meet Benjamin, our new nephew! We hopped down to Calgary for a day to join in the shower festivities with some family friends. He sure is cute...very little (but growing every day, I imagine) and he's a good sleeper! Ah, the little bundle of joy.
We are up to 10 minutes running now, with only one class left. Our last class is actually a race - all the people who are 'learning to run' get together and have a 2.5km 'fun run.' I never thought, when I was struggling to run for 3 minutes, that it would be quite possible to run for 10! I don't even care that I'm always at the back of the pack...although it would be nice to be a little closer to the middle at some point... A long-term goal, I suppose.
Oh, yes - I would be completely out of my mind not to mention the hot topic in Edmonton these days: have you heard that the Oilers are up 3 games to none against the Ducks? I figured you hadn't heard.
